Winter, 2010 -- The Community Giving Campaign had a record-setting year
in 2009, raising more than $48,000, nearly $8,000 more than the previous
year, for the Oberlin Community Services, the Oberlin Early Childhood
Center, the United Way of Lorain County, and Community Shares of Greater
Cleveland. The college raised $40,099, the schools $4,300, and the city$3,705.
The Community Giving Campaign is a friendly competition between the college,
city, and schools to determine which organization can generate the highest
level of participation.
